"Navigating the Navigator and Ultra" with John Ott

This seminar covers the installation, operation and troubleshooting of our Navigator & Ultra suction cleaners. Emphasis is put on trouble shooting and tear down, giving the repair technicians the ability to provide the best possible service. Handouts and owner guides provided.

Saline Pools with David Pruchniewski

This class will offer pool & spa professionals the opportunity to learn how a salt water system generates chlorine from a small amount of ordinary table salt dissolved in the pool or spa. Covers: Electrolytic Conversion / Installation /Operation / Maintenance / Troubleshooting / Setting Customer Expectations

Don’t Do It:
This course will focus on common claims and the legal basis for lawsuits brought against service technicians. Attendees will learn to identify the high risk jobs that are most likely to result in problems and discover ways to aid in their defense if sued.
Ray Arouesty is an attorney at law, a licensed pool repair contractor and the insurance broker for the Independent Pool and Spa Service Association (IPSSA). He has handled over 1500 pool-related insurance claims since 1982.
What Goes Up Must Come Down:
Understanding how an in-floor system works and how to troubleshoot all in-floor systems especially the Caretaker System.   Focusing on both the Ultraflex I and Ultraflex II Valve (the electronic valve for the Caretaker System), and why in-floor works and how it can make your job easier.
Heater School:
Jandy will conduct an abbreviated heater class of our Level 1 and Level 2 classes. From the basics of heater sizing thru troubleshooting heaters.   We will go over codes, installation requirements, temp rises, gas pressure requirements and what NOT to do.

Basic spa control theory of operation presentation: Discussion of Spa Equipment and trouble shooting considerations. Walking through the basics of the two major types of spa control configurations on the market. Solid State control differences and similarities. Tricks of the trade for dealing with solid state control issues...
A discussion and power point presentation that focuses on the basic foundation knowledge required to understand spa control systems and methods of trouble shooting. The first hour will focus on the basic system configurations likely to be seen in the field using electromechanical circuit examples. The second hour will apply these principles to solid state controls that are more common in todays spas with special attention given to specific issues not commonly addressed when looking at Printed Circuit boards. The information is generic in nature and should be applicable to most manufacturers spa controls.
