Anatomy of a Lawsuit: Keeping Your Service Business Out or Legal Hot Water"
Ray Arouesty is an attorney at law, a licensed pool repair contractor and the insurance broker for the Independent Pool and Spa Service Association (IPSSA). He has handled over 1500 pool-related insurance claims since 1982.
This course will focus on common claims and the legal basis for lawsuits brought against service technicians. Attendees will learn to identify the high risk jobs that are most likely to result in problems and discover ways to aid in their defense if sued.

Solar Pool Heating and Heat Pump Winter Heating:

Pool Tech 101 and Advanced Pool Tech :
Presented by Mike Long. Mike is an experienced veteran in many facets of the pool industry and current President of the local APSP chapter and past IPSSA chapter president.. He will discuss many facets of swimming pool service and repair from beginning to advanced.
Acrylic Spa 101:
This class teaches basic trouble shooting on portable acrylic spas. What to look for when they don’t work. What is the proper procedure to follow to get the right solution the first time. Presented by spa expert Robert Camerena.

Water Chemistry you need to Know:
Que Hales brings his many years of experience in pool water treatment and research to present chemistry in an entertaining and informative way. He has the latest research and dispels old commonly held myths of pool chemistry.
Phosphate Control and Enzyme Treatment for Pools and Spas:
Harold Evans from Orenda Technologies discusses what we should know about enzymes. What they are and how they work, and how they benefit the swimming pool technician. He will also cover the latest on what is known about biofilm and how it impacts swimming pool care. Phosphates and how they impact swimming pool treatment will also be discussed.
